María del Carmen Martín Sierra is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at DESTINA. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), completed under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme. María specialises in the development of molecular diagnostic methods, contributing to projects in viral RNA detection and liquid biopsy, including CoVradar and CoVreader. She joined DESTINA in 2022 through a Torres Quevedo Grant and is part of the Assay Development Team, integrating DESTINA’s technology onto multiple platforms and supervising research activities.
